Man Of My Dreams
Where The Boys Are
Madonna Tassi's Canadian record label, Destiny Music, Inc., signed an exclusive marketing and distribution agreement with US-based IMMI Records in 2005. Her first album for IMMI, "Man of My Dreams," was released on April 26th, 2005. A sizzling collection with some great new country songs as well as some old favorites, the album was recorded partly in her native Canada, and partly in Nashville.
The first single from the new CD was the dramatic ballad, "My Mother," which Madonna wrote for her own mother. The single was released to country radio on April 18th in time for special Mother's Day promotions.
Madonna debuted the single and other cuts from her album April 29 on XM Satellite Radio's America Channel 10 with Country Dan during a special four-hour broadcast. Madonna wowed the audience with five songs she performed live in the studio and took dozens of phone calls from fans.
"My Mother" and two other songs from the CD was produced by Nashville's Grammy-winning songwriter and producer Norro Wilson. Tassi lured Wilson out of retirement to produce three songs for the 13-cut Man Of My Dreams package. Most recently, he had co-produced albums for country superstars Kenny Chesney and Reba McEntire and, before that, for Sara Evans, John Michael Montgomery, Charley Pride, John Anderson and Tassišs fellow Canadian, Shania Twain. A member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, Wilson won a songwriting Grammy for the Charlie Rich hit, "A Very Special Love Song."
Some U.S. fans are already familiar with Madonna from her 2002 mini-disk project, "Red, White, Blue & Orange," especially those who love the University of Tennessee sports program. Featuring a lively version of Rocky Top, the Volunteer fan's favorite song, Red, White, Blue & Orange has won Madonna Tassi new fans in Tennessee and around the world! The CD includes an exceptional performance of the "Star-Spangled Banner," and a beautiful version of the "Tennessee Waltz."
